Klimatske promjene u čaši vina
Climate change in a glass of wine
The Montevitis project, developed in Montenegro, was recently featured in a national news report by RTCG – Radio Televizija Crne Gore. The programme highlights how the project, led by the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) in collaboration with national and international partners, is combining science, tradition, and digital innovation to promote a more sustainable, climate-resilient, and technology-driven approach to viticulture in this region.
Featuring contributions from many of the project’s key stakeholders, the recent media coverage by RTCG underscores the national relevance of this European project and the growing interest in climate-smart agriculture. It also reflects the commitment of Montenegrin institutions and producers to embrace innovation while respecting the unique traditions and landscapes that define the country’s viticultural heritage.

As Montevitis advances, its results will contribute not only to more resilient vineyard practices in Montenegro but also to a broader dialogue on sustainable wine production across Europe. With pilot demonstrations, scientific publications, and continued stakeholder engagement, the project is helping to shape the future of the wine and the vineyards of Montenegro
